Water and World History: Integrating Water into the Social Studies Classroom
Limited Capacity filling up

World History classes routinely touch on the topic of water when examining the early river valley civilizations, but scarcely return thereafter. Yet, with increasing awareness of the critical importance of water and water-related issues today, the social studies classroom has a valuable opportunity to provide increased understanding by integrating the topic more effectively, while still fulfilling required learning objectives. This training provides a model of analysis that can be applied to any region or period.
